I never have heard about the ups or downs of a CA18DET,I get shot down quite often when I tell of my plans... I'm kinda a usdm purest... what it came with is what I'm keeping, so the single cam ka is get high compression pistons and aggressivly decked head for13.5:1 compression, aggressive-300dur-.506lift cam, indexed plugs, extrude honed stock exhaust mani, mild porting no polish.

It's gonna look completely stock but have between 250-300hp.

Sounds like you're on the right track with what you want... keep up the good work.

What I plan on doing is drooping the springs and installing some N1 dampers or these Super Drift dampers that I have, change the pulleys, new headers and this coming summer I'm going off to boot camp.

So when I come back I would like to drop a CA into it. CA's can handle high rev.

I'm gonna do lots of crap to it, but it's going to take a while.
